Ligands

I believe this is ligands, if it's not can someone explain what the lines mean? thank you!

The structure you're looking at is ethylenediamine, which is indeed a ligand that can bind to metals to form complexes. The lines represent chemical bonds: single lines for single bonds and the zigzag lines imply a chain of carbon atoms. Ethylenediamine has two amino groups (NH₂) that can act as points of attachment to a metal ion.
