Quiz preparation
Do we need to know how to name compounds for quizzes? If so what polyatomic ions should we memorize? Also do we need to be familiar with the solubility guidelines?

Re: Quiz preparation
My TA Dimitri told us we should familiarize ourselves with the common polyatomic ions since we will most likely have to name compounds/ recognize them on quizzes and exams. He told us to google "common polyatomic ions" and some basic lists should pop up. I have had one of the charts open in the background while doing homework problems so I can practice memorizing them and seeing them written out.

Re: Quiz preparation
Naming and solubility will not be on quiz 1.
However I recommend going through the naming notes I made at the beginning of the course reader as this will assist you later on.
We will be doing many polyatomic ions in class (Lewis structures, etc.) and then you can expect to know them.
