Appendix 1D & 1E

Postby Julia Meno 1D » Tue Oct 03, 2017 9:38 pm

Hey everyone!
On our syllabus for this unit, it says to read Appendix 1B, 1C, 1D, & 1E. 1D talks about exponents and logarithms while 1E talks about equations and graphs (quadratic equation, extrapolating/interpolating a graph, etc.) Aside from Appendix 1D & 1E being good review for the class as a whole, does anyone know if there will be questions on Friday's test specifically involving these concepts?
Thanks :)

I don't think there will be questions specifically on 1B and 1C, but the concepts might be used in problems on the tests. My TA told us that knowing the unit conversions can save time when doing stoichiometry. For 1C, it might be helpful to know the rules for significant figures when writing your answer.

I think all of the appendixes are just for reference in the future. It doesn't necessarily mean we'll be tested on them!
