### Units + their meanings

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what are the units for moles? Simply "mol"? Furthermore, what do the units of g/mol signify? Are those related to atomic mass, molar mass, or something else entirely?

The unit for moles is "mol". In addition, the unit g/mol signifies mass per mole of a particle which is what defines molar mass.

Also if it helps, g/mol = mass (in grams) / number of moles (mol) - lending itself to the correct units of the molar mass

mol is a unit, that saying 6.02E23 molecules is inside. So when I say one mole of atoms(molecules), it means there are 6.02E23 atoms(molecules).
Atomic mass is the property of an element, as you can see on the periodic table, each element has specific atomic mass. For example, for O is 16 and H is 1.
Molar mass(Mr) means the total atomic mass of a molecule, in other words it's the sum of all atomic mass. For example H20, water, has a molar mass of 16+1+1=18.
The equation related them each other is that number of mole(n)=mass/Molar Mass(Mr)
Hope it helps!
