Chemistry Review Section E
For section E #21, what are formula units and why are the answers that are in formula units the same as the answers that are in molecules?

Hey okay so what i think is that when they ask for formula units it is the equivalent to atoms/molecules.

A mole of an ionic compound corresponds to 6.02x10^23 formula units. I think the answers are the same as molecules because the calculations are the same, but the type of particles are different.

Hi! Formula units are salts or ionic compounds, and referring to formula units (ionic compounds) is the same as referring to molecules (covalent bonded compounds).
