For #23 in Section E is finding the number of copper2+ ions the same as finding the number of moles?

No, if i am understanding your question..(not sure if i am), because you are given the units of the ions in moles to begin with .Don't quote me though.

Yes, in that question when it asks for the amount of ions it essentially means the same thing as finding the mols of Cu2+ ions in the overall CuBr2 compound. For this, you'd divide the given amount of CuBr2 (3 g) by the total molar mass of the compound (in g/mol). Then, because there's 1 mol of Cu2+ per mol CuBr2, you multiply this by (1 mol Cu2+/1mol CuBr2). This will yield the amount of mols of Cu2+.

Yes, because the question asks for the amount of Ca2+ ions (in moles).

I do not understand the question that is being posed. You need to post more information related to the question such that the question itself can be understood by anyone reading the post.

Based on what the question seems to suggest, you need to quantify the amount of Cu2+ ions (probably in moles). Remember that mole is a unit which quantifies number of objects (like atoms, ions, molecules, etc.)
