Do we have to convert final answer to make it simpler? [ENDORSED]

Hello,
I was just wondering if during tests we are going to have to convert to the lowest possible SI unit that our final answer is given in. For example if we get that the wavelength is 551*10^-9 m, do we have to convert it to 551 nm or can we just leave it in the original form in meters? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure either way is fine. The question might specify by asking "how many meters" and then you would put: x 10^-9.

I think we just keep it in meters if anything put it in scientific notation.

You should typically put it in meters, however, it is up to the professor on what he may allow.
