for the topics covered in test 2, what units are the equations in terms of? some of them are in kg and such but im not sure which ones

Hello!
Whenever the equation uses mass, like the kinetic energy equation and the De Broglie equation, the mass needs to be in kilograms (kg). Energy has to be in joules(J) and the wavelength must be in meters(m).

Use the following SI units:
-meter (m) for length
-kilogram (kg) for mass
-second (s) for time
-Kelvin (K) for temperature
There are only 7 SI units I believe and every other unit is derived from these. I only listed the ones I found relevant for this test.

The reason you would want kg for mass is because it cancels out units when dealing with joules. This is because 1J = 1(kg * m^2)/(s^2). So when dealing with the formula that gives kinetic energy, if your mass is in kg, it will cancel with the 1(kg * m^2)/(s^2) found from the joules.

Also, velocity is used in equations as m/s so be careful to check that the info they give u is either in this form or you convert it to be.
