Unit "t"

In Fundamentals L, question 35 asks "What mass of iron, in kilograms, is needed to produce 2.50 t of NaBR?"

My question is what unit of mass is "t" shorthand for?

I think the unit "t" here refers to a metric ton, which is equivalent to 1.00 x 10^6 grams. Hope this helps :)

The "t" refers to the unit. In this case, it means metric ton (aka 1000 kg)
