Is there a specific due date for the first 4 modules or are they just help for our test.

I believe that the modules don't have a due date and are just extra resources for us that we can use to study for the test.

They are just for us to use to study. On the assessment, it states: "performance on the assessment is in no way linked to course grade. Other than being enrolled in Chem 14A, we have no idea who is taking the assessments."

I thought I heard someone say they were supposed to be done by week 2? But then again, it also says the modules are done anonymously?

To my understanding, modules for this section (Review of Chemical and Physical Principles) should be completed by the end of week 2 (Sunday, October 14). They are completed anonymously, but I believe the instructor has access to a list of who has completed them to assign credit. I may be incorrect, but upon reading the syllabus and consulting students who have completed this course, this is what I have gathered. Hope this was helpful!

I did the first four modules and the videos that accompany them are the exact same lectures Lavelle did during week 1, they are helpful to go back and rewatch to get a better grasp on the topic. Also, I don't think they are graded at all.

Yeah, our professor just said that we can use them for review. Although they are highly recommended it's not required because Professor Lavelle can't see who has done them or the scores they got.

The modules are a good way to practice the topics we’re learning in lecture that will be on the tests and quizzes, but they aren’t mandatory and don’t count towards our grade.

Some of the module videos also have an additional example or slightly different material than what we had for lectures, so they are not only helpful to go over examples we already saw but also a little bit of different information as well!
