Ways to remember prefixes
Does anyone have any good ways to memorize all the prefixes we need to know? Thanks

Re: Ways to remember prefixes
Honestly there is no easy way to go about this, the best way is to brute force memorization of the set of prefixes. Maybe use flashcards?

I don't think there's an easy method to learn prefixes...Encountering problems with prefixes definitely help you to become familiar with them, but just as you would study vocabulary you could probably apply those studying methods to studying prefixes and their meanings.

An easy way to remember prefixes is this saying " The Great Monarch King Henry Died drinking chocolate milk monday night peacefully"
T: Tera --- G: Giga--- M: Mega--- K: Kilo--- H:Hecta--- D: Deca --- BASE--- d: deci--- c: centi --- m: mili--- m: micro--- n: nano--- p: pico
10^12 --- 10^9 --- 10^6 --- 10^3 --- 10^2 --- 10^1 --- 1 --- 10^-1 --- 10^-2 --- 10^-3 --- 10^-6 --- 10^-9 --- 10^-12
T: Tera --- G: Giga--- M: Mega--- K: Kilo--- H:Hecta--- D: Deca --- BASE--- d: deci--- c: centi --- m: mili--- m: micro--- n: nano--- p: pico
10^12 --- 10^9 --- 10^6 --- 10^3 --- 10^2 --- 10^1 --- 1 --- 10^-1 --- 10^-2 --- 10^-3 --- 10^-6 --- 10^-9 --- 10^-12

Re: Ways to remember prefixes
I believe so far we've only really conveyed from kilograms to grams then from grams to milligrams as well as liters to milliliters and also moles to mmoles, am I correct?

Okay this is kinda dumb, but hey whatever works, right?
My (Mega) . 10^6
Kitten (Kilo) 10^3
Ben (Base) Null
Doesn't (Deci) 10^-1
Count (Centi) 10^-2
Much (Milli) 10^-3
Money, (Micro) - you just have to remember here micro comes after milli 10^-6
No (Nano) 10^-9
Problem! (Pico) 10^-12
basically I think of it like factors of 3 so we're starting from 6 and going down by three till we get to the base. then we're going to work our way back up to 3.. so -1, -2, (in the deci and centi) then we're back on track with the factors of three. So, -3,-6,-9...
I hope this helped!

I used the Tune of Happy Birthday song!
Tera Giga Mega
Kilo Hecto Deca
Deci Centi Milli Micro
Nano Pico Hepto
