Discussion Credit
I have been hearing different information about getting credit posting here. Do we have to interact on Chemistry Community 5 times a week or 3 times a week? Also, do we have to both pose questions and answer or could we do one of these for all 3 or 5 times?
Re: Discussion Credit
I think it's 5 times a week, and you can choose whether to pose or answer questions.

Re: Discussion Credit
For discussion credit, we'll be turning in 5 homework problems and do 5 posts; questions and replies both count! :))

Re: Discussion Credit
If I remember correctly, you are free to ask/post/comment more than 5 times each week, but you only get 5 points per week.

It doesn't seem mandatory to attend but after week one, homework will be turned in during discussion so if you're not there then you can't turn it in. However, my friend who's also in the class said her Ta told her she can attend any discussion but I would double-check.

Re: Discussion Credit
I believe that attending discussion is mandatory, so attendance probably gets taken into account and averaged with the 5 hw problems and chem community posts/answers when determining your overall average for the discussion portion of the grade.
