How to format homework

Postby JonathanS 1H » Thu Oct 03, 2019 8:03 pm

Hi everyone. I am wondering if there is a specific way to format the homework in this class. As of now I am using a piece of paper with my name and class in the top right and problem numbers on the left column. Help soon would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi!

I think your formatting is fine and it’s similar to how I did my homework. I think as long as you show the work and do the 5 problems, I don’t think there would be any problems.

I don't think the format matters too much. The syllabus just mentions being clear what problem you are working on making sure you have the chapter and problem number.

Adding onto that, do y'all think boxing the answer would be fine? What I did was that I wrote the problem out, solved it, and boxed it.

I just made sure to label each part of the problems and to put my name and id number on it. Also put a title on it and discussion section so that they know who you are and where to put your grade.

I am pretty sure that as long as your clearly show your answers then any format should be fine. I personally did what worked best for me and boxed my final answers.

Yes, my TA also said to put your discussion section and it doesn't hurt to put your ID on there too

Is the homework graded on accuracy or completion?

I put my name, discussion section, and UID in the top right corner of the page and clearly wrote out the problem number and boxed my answers. Hopefully that's all we need to put.
