Achieve Due Dates

Postby Shiley_David_1D » Wed Sep 29, 2021 8:43 pm

Hello everyone!

On Achieve, I can see where Week 1's homework due date is, but I was wondering if there is a place we can find the due dates for the rest of the quarter? Or will every homework just be due Sunday before midnight? I did not see anything pertaining to this specific question on the syllabus or on Achieve, but I can overlook things sometimes, so I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone knows.

Thank you so much for your help!

Shiley

Hi Shiley,

I believe Dr. Lavelle said that the homework would be due as we finish the outlines so there isn't set weekly homework. I am not certain that this is how every assignment will be decided but I do know that he said there is no set weekly homework.

I hope this helps.

Hi! I asked my TA a similar question. As far as I know, there is not a place where we can find the due dates for the rest of the quarter. I think the next due date will be posted once the most recent due date has passed. Honestly, I just stick to checking achieve every couple days.
Regardless, I don't think you've overlooked anything!

Hello! I think the week 1 homework is due Sunday by 11:59 since we went through this unit pretty fast. The next ones, however, will not be due weekly. He said in lecture that they will be due once we are done with each unit which normally takes a few weeks.

Oh I see, so we do not actually have weekly homework?

Hi,
Yeah I agree with everyone else I think that Dr. Lavelle said that quantum will take a few weeks so he'll probably just tell us the due dates for every unit.

Hi! Homework assignments won't necessarily be weekly, it depends on the length of the section. For example, our quantum world unit will take multiple weeks. We won't be having assignments due each week; instead, our assignments will be given within the time we learn that topic/section and they're due at the end whenever we finish that topic. I recommend regularly checking CCLE and the syllabus for specific due dates :) The Achieve homework for reviewing the fundamentals should be due this coming Sunday!

In the syllabus we have the outlines for each unit. It doesn't necessarily tell us when we will get to each unit or when we will finish each unit, but at the end of each we have to submit the achieve assignments. When we get near the end of the unit till probably give a due date on achieve.

I was so confused about this too! I thought we have weekly homework, but it is just whenever we finish the unit so that is why our homework was based on the fundamentals of high school chemistry!

Once we complete all the questions on Achieve, is there anything we have to actually submit to show that we did the homework or will the site automatically submit it for us? (I hope I made sense)

I don't think there is a place to see all the due dates yet

I think due dates are on Sundays at 11:59 pm PST, unless stated otherwise by Dr. Lavelle.

We do not need to submit anything because the website will automatically submit it for us since the achieve website is connected with CCLE. If you log into Achieve with your school email it will show all the assignments that you have completed and the due dates. Hope this helps!

The due dates are on Achieve. You can check them if you log into the Achieve website with your school email. So far the homework has been due on Sunday but I'm sure Dr. Lavelle will let us know if anything changes.

Hey, there is not weekly homework, the homework is due at the end of each unit but I believe on whatever week it is due, it will be sunday at midnight.

Hi, for this week it's due Sunday midnight but Mr. Lavelle said it is due as we finish the outlines. We can always find the due dates on the CCLE Chem website. - Arnav Singh

Hi,
I think for each week we will be able to see if there is homework on CCLE and if there is, what the due date will be, e.g. under "week one" you were able to find the homework and the due dates and if there was work due week two you could find it there

Hi,
Dr. Lavelle also just sent out an email today saying that the Achieve homework for quantum unit is now ready under the Week 2 folder in CCLE and that it's due Sunday, Week 4 by midnight. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that there will be a master list of due dates, but it does seem like he'll give us ample time to get the assignments done.

It appears that the next set of Achieve homework is not due until Sunday, Week 4 at 11:59 pm. For the rest of the weeks, Dr. Lavelle has not yet stated the due dates.

In class, he said that even though the syllabus said weekly homework, it wasn't actually weekly. I believe it is due whenever we finish that specific unit. Professor Lavelle does tell us enough in advance but as for the QM unit right now, it isn't due till week 4.

I believe in an email that it said that the achieve homework for weeks 2-4 won't be due until week 4, and the due dates should be on the achieve website. I do not think that the achieve homework is necessarily due every week.

Hi! Achieve due dates aren't set for specific date, but they are due on Sundays at 11:59pm (no specific Sunday dates). I believe that they will be due after every unit.

Hello, I am a bit confused/overwhelmed with the achieve week 2,3,4. I have completed most with the exception of two problems I planned to go to an office hours to discuss over the course of this week. I went to office hours over the weekend and since the review sessions were midterm review, I was focusing on that. The instructions were not very clear, was the assignment in Achieve due yesterday 10/17 or the following Sunday for “week 4 midnight”?

The homework for weeks 2,3,4 is all due at midnight on the Sunday of week 4!

Hi!!! I agree with what everyone has said so far about the due dates. One thing that helps me remember is focusing on how it is due on Sundays before midnight (11:59pm).

The due date for each homework assignment is displayed on Achieve as it is assigned to us. I believe we will get till midnight on the Sunday following the conclusion of a unit in class, but I don't think we will be given the due dates of future homework assignments.

All of the due dates are posted on the achieve website, but the following homework, due dates are not posted yet. The homework for weeks 2-4 is due October 24th by midnight.

Dr. Lavelle had mentioned that the homework was not necessarily going to be a week by week submission. Kinda like how we just submitted a few weeks worth of work at once, it is going to be like that for the rest of the quarter. The achieve homework will be turned in at the end of a unit learned. If it happens to be in a week, then we will submit the homework in a week, but if not, then it will be submitted when we are done.

I think that it will depend on the material and which units he wants to combine. However, it will be due on Sundays and we will know the due date on the date that it is assigned!

Does anyone know when the next homework will be assigned/is due? I can't see it on CCLE yet and was wondering when the chemical bonding hw would be assigned.

I believe Professor Lavelle will be posting the achieve hw as we go along, so we won't be able to see upcoming assignments ahead of time.

Assignments are usually due on Sundays by 11:59 but it's not necessarily every week.
