3-Ethyl,1,1-dimethyl-2-propylcyclohexane

On page 21 of the OChem reader at the bottom, why is this structure not 1-ethyl-3,3-dimethyl-2-propylcyclohexane since ethyl comes first alphabetically

The book explains it. It doesn't start at ethyl because 3,3>1,1. You only assign the lowest numbering to the first alphabetical hydrocarbon when the number total are the same.
