how to name
If a molecule has both a double bond and a functional group attached (such as a hydroxide), how would we name the suffix of the molecule?

We consider double bonds to be a functional group. Therefore you will not see a double or triple bond along with another functional group such as an alcohol or ketone. You will only see one functional group per molecule.
