The course reader tells us to read and practice 2.1, "Halogenated Compounds," but I don't think we went over these in class and i can't find any material in the course reader either. Will halogenated compounds be covered in the final?

I definitely covered Halogenated Compounds in my lectures. See pages 104, 105, 106 in my lecture notes (course reader).
