Every time you're finding E = hv are you putting Plank's constant into your calculator as 6.63 * 10^-34 and then finding an answer and putting it into scientific notation yourself? Or do you have calculators that do it for you? I know this is an elementary question but I don't want to rely on a resource that I won't have during the test.

Re: Calculator
Hello,
Whatever figure they give for Plank's constant (my TA said that they provide it to you when needed), I put that number as given into my calculator (usually it is in scientific notation). Then, from there, whatever the answer is I will convert to whatever form is asked of in the question. I think generally you should practice putting it into scientific notation yourself!
Hope that this helps.

Re: Calculator
Hi, I typically follow whatever format Plank's Constant is given in the problem. If the problem doesn't specify, I manually enter 6.63 * 10^-34 into my calculator to solve the problem. Then, I round my answer to the appropriate significant figures at the very end to avoid any discrepancies due to rounding/sig figs.
