Significant figures
When we are writing the solution to any problem how do we know how many significant figures we are supposed to include?

Re: Significant figures
I'm pretty sure it depends on the question—there's a sheet he posted about how to know sig figs in each problem type, but generally I think the answer should be determined by the value with the least sig figs.
Re: Significant figures
By any chance can anyone give an example in which shows how to use the correct sig-figs? I'm just really confused on this part

Re: Significant figures
The amount of sig figs is dependent on the measures and data provided in the question. We use the number with the least amount of sig fig digits. For example, if some measures provided were 35.7units, 0.012units, and 9000.units, the number with the least amount of sig figs is 0.012units, which has 2 sig figs. Our answer would then need 2 sig figs so we round to that amount. If the answer was 4.6739units we would write it as 4.7units (2 sig figs)
