Calculate the de Broglie wavelength of a 0.155 kg ball travelling at 85.0 m.s^-1.

The answer I got was 5.03 * 10^-35 m. On the answers page, they said it was 5 * 10^-35 m. I do not understand how they ended up with one significant figure. I thought there were three so I rounded to three. Can someone explain how they got their answer?

There is no reason why the answer only had one significant figure since the two given values both had three significant figures. I believe your answer is correct and the solution has an error. Don't worry about it.

From the information you have given us, your answer seems to have to correct amount of sig-figs.
