Quantum World, Test 2: SigFigs

Postby Douglas Nguyen 2J » Sat Dec 08, 2018 10:18 am

On question 2 of the quantum world exam, the question asks: "The uncertainty in the momentum (delta p) of a cricket ball which is traveling at 150 km/hr is 2 x 10(-6) times its momentum. Its mass is 0.160 kg. Calculate its minimum delta x."

How many significant figures should the answer have? Is it 2 based off of 150 km/hr, or should it be 1 from the "2 x 10(-6)"?
