Sig Figs on the Test
This is more concerning the numbers on the periodic table. Should there be a limit of how many sig figs I should use if the number given on the periodic (like the molar mas) contains a lot of numbers?

Re: Sig Figs on the Test
For values of elements you cannot simplify. No significant figures, just use the number on the periodic table.

You should use however many sig figs are given in the original problem, even when considering periodic table molar masses.

Re: Sig Figs on the Test
Usually, in calculations of molar mass, you use the molar mass of each element to the hundredths decimal place, and add them all together. This does not count when determining the overall number of sig figs
