What does Dr. Lavelle mean when he said: "submit homework on recently covered material." I thought we turn it in during discussion.

He means that the homework (5 problems) that we submit in our discussion sections, should be related to content that we have recently covered within our lectures. For the first week, our homework was due on a lecture day, but the next set of 5 problems are due next discussion class.

You should be answering problems that are related to what we learned in the most recent lecture.

We do homework problems from the book on recently learned topics, but this week even though we are learning Quanta he said we can still do Review problems to help study for the test this week.

For week 2, Lavelle gives us the option to complete 5 homework problems from Outline 1 (Fundamentals) or from Outline 2 (The Quantum World). Since the quiz is on Fundamentals/Review material, he told us that doing 5 different homework problems from Outline 1 is acceptable to assist us in studying. Homework from now on should always be collected by your TA in discussions!
