Numbering aldehydes

For aldehydes or just in general for functional groups that are at the end of carbon chains, if there is a another substituent connected in the chain, do you start from the functional group side of the molecule when numbering to name it? Or does the lowest number rule still apply?

If it is aldehyde with substituents, you start to count at the aldehyde end.
