Naming Keytones

Why is there a 2 before the -yl? (page 62 of the organic workbook)

2-methyl-5-(prop-1-en-2-yl)cyclohex-2-enone

yl= substituent form with the number indicates where the substituents attach to the main chain. prop-1-en-2-yl means propene with a double bond at C1 and attaching to the main chain at C2.
