Do you think we will need to know in-depth about these things and what is said in the book or just as much as he talks about in lecture?

I think it's better to know about these topics in depth, just to get a better understanding along with what Lavelle has gone over throughout the quarter.

Do try and read and understand what the textbook says.

If you are able to do the in text problems then you should be good. He often wouldn't cover certain topics that we ended up needing to know in lecture but everything you need to know is in the text book.

It would obviously be more helpful for the final to know things more in-depth, but for the most part what Lavelle has said during lecture should be sufficient in my opinion. If you have extra time, I would go ahead and look over the textbook though. Lavelle wouldn't put anything in outside of our capabilities or the things he hasn't gone over.

I would go over the outlines that Lavelle has posted on his website, and make sure you understand each bullet point.

Going over the book may be helpful to understand it more conceptually, and I would definitely recommend doing the assigned textbook problems because many of them show up on the exam.

I think as long as you understand the lectures and the problems that he has outlined on the syllabus you should e good, last midterm I feel like a lot of the material was conceptual so maybe try to study on that too.

Like everyone else has suggested, the best thing to do is go over the outline to get an in-depth knowledge of the concepts taught by Lavelle in lecture.

The textbook readings would probably help you solidify your understanding of the concepts but in terms of the final I think going over the textbook problems for each of the outlines would be the most helpful
