Hi Sarahi,
Aryl carbanions are aromatic (ring) compounds made of carbon that have lost a hydrogen and now contain a lone pair of electrons. They are sp2 hybridized.
Alkyl carbanions are non aromatic, so the carbons are bonded in a chain, and the carbon has lost its bond with a hydrogen and now has a lone pair. It's also sp3 hybridized. Hope this helps!
