Nucleophiles on the final?

Postby Hector Acosta Discussion 1H » Fri Mar 09, 2018 4:06 pm

Today in lecture we talked a little bit about Nucleophiles, which is an organic chemistry concept, so I was wondering if these topics will be on the final. I thought professor Lavelle was not going to cover organic chemistry.

Professor Lavelle used the SN2 organic reaction in class as an example for a substitution reaction. I would probably say that anything discussed in lecture is fair game for the final. But that would mean we would only need to know this as a conceptual example, nothing too intensive, because that is as far as he went with it in lecture.

The organic chem we covered (I think) was more to just give us a bit of a preview of organic chemistry. That being said it's only like one or two small things to remember so it probably wouldn't hurt to glance at it.

Would we need to know where and how to draw the arrows? Thanks :)
