If that is required by the question. If it’s not mentioned then it’s safer to draw all resonance structure.

Only draw all of them if the question asks you to draw all resonance structures. If the question does not ask you only need to draw one of them and it would be considered correct.

Also, if you do draw all resonance structures be sure to include the double headed arrow between each of them. Maybe it's not that big of a deal but he explicitly mentioned that in class.

Would it also be applicable to just state the average length, in Angstrom units, of the bond lengths, in a scenario of possibly interchangeable single and double bonds? * Or would this poorly depict the image of resonance structures?

In lecture on Friday one of the TA's said that Dr. Lavelle will likely ask us to do that on one or two of the problems on the test but it would be excessive to ask us on all of them.
