Question about Resonance Structures

I understand that resonance structures are lewis structures that are all correct for a molecule, why is it important to know all correct resonance structures?

Resonance structures help us to determine which form of the molecule is most stable (and therefore what would most likely be found in nature). Additionally, it shows us that molecules have different ways of distributing their electrons and bonds (they are not static the way a single Lewis structure would show them to be).
