Write the complete Lewis structure for each of the following compounds a) ammonium chloride b) potassium phosphide c) hypochlorite

I make mistakes when converting the words into equations.

I was also wondering if we needed to know how to convert the wording of chemical formulas into the actual chemical formula, especially for the upcoming test, but we haven't learned about it yet. My TA gave the names for us, however, if this is helpful to you:
a) ammonium chloride, NH4Cl^+
b) potassium phosphide, K^+P^3-
c) sodium hypochlorite, Na^+OCl

Maybe you should look at how to determine the charge by the suffix of the words. Also, it helps to look at the periodic table.

Good news is for the tests we'll be given the actual chemical formulas so we don't have to memorize them :)

I'm still not getting how you would get the correct lewis structure for a. Can anyone explain?
