Chemical Formulas (test 3)

For the test, do we need to know how to translate the names of chemical formulas. Or will the chemical formulas be given?
Ex. Magnesium Arsenide is As2Mg3, or will As2Mg3 be given

My TA said we're usually not expected to, but we should be familiar with the basic polyatomic ions.
