Final  [ENDORSED]

Science questions not covered in Chem 14A and 14B. Try to limit questions to chemistry (inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, biophysical chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, environmental chemistry).

Up until what day will the final cover?

Should we focus on the new material or the old material more? Which one will be more heavily concentrated on the exam?

I believe the final is cumulative so I'm sure there will be a balance between pre-midterm and post-midterm material. This is what I heard from my UA. Correct me if I'm wrong.

During today's review session someone asked if the final was more focused on topics covered after the midterm and I believe the answer was basically that topics would be given equal importance.

I think that the final will cover everything we have learned in chemistry because it is cumulative.

I would assume that new material would be more heavily concentrated since we were already tested on old material, but as others have said, it may be a mix of questions, as it is cumulative.

A TA told me that it would be similar to the set up from midterm 1 and 2. So 8 questions total. 4 questions may be from either midterm 1 or 2, and the other 4 will be new material. But each question will have multiple parts. But I'm not sure how accurate this is.

By "both midterms" you're referring to one of the practice one's posted, correct? Since we've only had one midterm. Thank you!

I think the final will cover material from all the outlines.

As announced the final exam covers everything.
