Knowing Chemical Compounds
In some questions, we are asked to write the formula of certain compounds, such as in question E.9 where it says to write the formula for magnesium sulfate heptahydrate. Should we memorize how to create some of these compounds or is it something we will get to know as the class goes on?

No, you don’t have to memorize them I’m pretty we will not be asked to create compounds on the test. It will be something we get to know in class and along the way, you will be able to create the compounds.

Apparently after we go over polyatomic ions we will be expected to know them, so eventually we will need to memorize/have some idea about nomenclature. But for now, everything will be given to us.

we should be given all chemical compounds on tests if we need them and then eventually, as we learn the polyatomic ions, then we need to memorize those.
