HW E.9

Postby WilliamNguyen_4L » Thu Oct 04, 2018 5:30 pm

Will we be expected to know how to write the formulas of any given compound for the upcoming test? In this case the problem asks to write the formula magnesium sulfate heptahydrate.

I'm pretty sure for now Dr. Lavelle said he would give us the formula but we'll be learning how to name them and find their formulas pretty soon.
Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate would be MgSO4 * 7(H2O)
Hope this helps!

Yeah, Lavelle said that he would give us the formula, and it won't be until later on when we learn how to write formulas that he will expect us to do it by ourselves.

We'll be given the formulas, so we don't need to know them by name. We just need to focus on the concepts he lectured on for the first test.
