Can someone please explain to me why the answer for #3 When the frequency of electromagnetic radiation decreases... is C) the event of the change in the electrical field at a given point decreases?

Re: Chapter 1 Question 1.3
Change in electric field correlates to energy. Using the equation, E=hv, if frequency (v) decreases, then energy will also decrease proportionally.

Re: Chapter 1 Question 1.3
You can also look at the graph they provide in Figure 1A.8, which explains why C) is true. Over the same distance, when the wavelength is longer, the frequency is shorter so there is less change overall than short wavelengths with high frequencies.

Re: Chapter 1 Question 1.3
the "extent of the change" refer to the slopes of the wavelength and because the wavelengths are longer, it allows less oscillations to be completed within a time frame
