So for balancing chemical equations, how much work is required to be shown to get credit? Because the way I was taught to solve them in high school is kinda like doing Soduku puzzles and I basicaclly do it all in my head. I wouldn't even know where to begin with "Showing my work."
Honestly, I don't think there's any way to show your work for those questions. Maybe just show all your attempts, but even then it gets messy (since we're using pen). I doubt the TA's will care, and if they do - I'm screwed because I didn't show my work ... I just put my final answer.
What I end up doing to show my work for balancing equations, is count the number of moles on each side and write them out. For example, if there are 12 total carbon atoms on both sides, I'd write C: 12 on each side! I hoped it would show them that I checked my work.
