Sig figs and percentages

Do percentages count as sig figs? For example, if we were to find 25% of 10.6, would the answer have 3 sig figs or 2?

No, percentages do not count at sig figs.

Percentages do not count as sig figs. In your example, the answer would have the least number of sig figs, which is 2.

Percentages that are given do not count as sig figs as there is no uncertainty in the measurement. Therefore you wouldnt consder it when determining the number of sig figs in your answer.
