Quantum Equations
Is it common to have to go through each equation (De Broglie's to Heisenberg's to Schrodinger's) to find an answer?

Based on the question, you can figure out what it's trying to ask and only use the necessary equation. A lot of questions are phrased similarly so doing enough will help you figure out which situations require which equations.

Usually you can determine which equations you use based on what the question asks and what information is given to you in the problem.

It's not necessarily uncommon. Sometimes, you'll need to use multiple equations to get an answer. For example, if you need to find wavelength but you're only given Energy, you can use E=hv to find the frequency (v) and then use that in the equation c=(frequency)(wavelength).
