Chemical Bonding
Did Lavelle say he was starting bonding today in class? And if so does anyone know how in depth we will go with the bonding?

Re: Chemical Bonding
Yeah we go over bonding. We began from the fundamentals and I think next class we will continue to expand on chemical bonding.

Re: Chemical Bonding
Today was just a review for me because I recall most of the stuff he discussed today from high school chem. We'll probably go more in depth starting Monday

Re: Chemical Bonding
We reviewed high school topics (chemical bonds, ionic bonds, covalent bonds), Lewis structures, and how to draw Lewis Structures of polyatomic species.

Re: Chemical Bonding
Today we discussed the basic chemical binding rules, as well as the basic Lewis structure rules. And we touched on polyatomic atomic species Lewis structures.
Re: Chemical Bonding
Today we defined a chemical bond, discussed ionic bonds and how they differ between main group and p-block elements, covalent bonds, the octet rule, and basic Lewis structures as well as the Lewis structures of polyatomic species.

Re: Chemical Bonding
Today we began going over chemical bonding by going into the basics of the Lewis dot structure and the difference between ionic and covalent bonds.

Re: Chemical Bonding
Today we reviewed on the high school level of chemical bonding. We spoke about chemical bonds, ionic and covalent. We also began Lewis Dot Structures. We will be continuing this concept more in-depth throughout week 5.

Re: Chemical Bonding
Yeah as of now we have just learned the basics of it but we should be going into more detail this coming week, but i do not know exactly how in depth we will go.
