What is the best way to prepare for the tests/midterms? Does anyone know of any study groups?

I would go to the review session talked about in beginning of lecture on Friday/look up the “garlic bread” review topic because it has mock midterm problems. It seems very useful and the review session date should be posted on there soon.

The step-up sessions and workshops are really helpful! Look up the practice workshops’ worksheets on chemistry community.

I personally found attending TA office hours helpful. From the TA office hours I have been to, I was able to get a lot of my burning questions answered when I was not able to ask them during lecture or discussion. The TAs were able to personally guide me through different problems (extremely helpful if you work best on one-on-one.) Additionally, the workshops provided by Lavelle are a good resource too--during the workshops, you are even given practice problems to take home.

An effective way for me to study is to reread my notes and complete all the problems assigned for homework. If you need extra help though, the step up programs and other peer learning sessions organized by Professor Lavelle are also helpful.

Attend the review sessions, office hours, step-ups, and workshops. Also, do all the modules and homework problems.

I find doing the homework problems to be really helpful and then usually before the test I'll go over the homework again and redo the problem that I had initially struggled with.
Also! sometime scrolling through chemistry community is really helpful just because reading how other people understand/explain a topic helps you better understand the topic, as well.

I usually study by looking up "[topic] practice problems" on youtube and following along. The Organic Chemistry Tutor's videos have been really helpful for me!
