Is there a difference between electron affinity and electronegativity? Or can these two terms be used interchangeably?

Electron affinity is the energy that is released when an electron is added to an atom. Electronegativity is the atom's tendency to attract an electron in a shared bond. The two terms are similar, but different.

According to the textbook, electron affinity is the "energy released when an electron is added to a gas-phase atom" whereas electronegativity is defined as the "electron-pulling power of an atom when it is part of a molecule." I don't think they would be interchangeable because one is talking about a quantitative energy while the other is discussing the property of molecules.
