How do you calculate dissociation energy?

I think that dissociation energy values are usually given to you in a problem, and then used to solve for other values. In other words, I don't think we'll have to actually calculate them since I think they're experimentally derived.

You won't be expected to calculate dissociation energies just as you're not expected to memorize/calculate electronegativities nor ionic radii. The main point is to know trends/patterns conceptually.

Bond dissociation energy is similar to Bond energy, as both are different terms. Bond dissociation energy one is the measure of the strength of the bond where as bond energy is the total energy contained in a chemical bond.
