Bent vs Angular
Hi! Are "bent" and "angular" synonymous for the same shape? Because in Topic 2E 7th Ed, I was doing some problems where I had to determine the shape of the molecule and was using a VSEPR chart online to help me, but the names from the answers vs chart were different even though the VSEPR formulas were the same.

Re: Bent vs Angular
Bent and angular are synonyms and are used interchangeably to refer to the same types of structure.

Re: Bent vs Angular
They are synonymous, our TA said if you write either one it will be counted correct although they are using the term angular for the most part.

Re: Bent vs Angular
I disagree with the previous post, they are synonyms but I've only seen bent in the lectures/discussions/homework so I'd just use bent for consistency. It's simpler to remember bent as opposed to "angular" anyway, it seems more accurate to the shape we're talking about.
