Do the number of sigma and pi bonds influence the shape/structure of a molecule? How so?

The number of sigma and pi bonds don't influence the shape or structure of a molecule. This is because when determining the molecular shape, instead of the number of bonds we look at the electron regions as a single charged region.

Sigma and Pi bonds do not affect the shape or structure because in VSEPR, all bonds are treated as equivalent. Single, double, and triple bonds are all considered one region of electron density. Though Sigma and Pi bonds impact the movement and rotation of molecules. Molecules with only sigma bonds are able to rotate. But, once a pi bond is added, the molecule becomes more essentially locked and cannot rotate.
