Can someone explain to me the difference between the electron geometry and the molecular geometry for the VSEPR model?

When atoms bond to a central atom, they do it in such a way to maximize the difference between two bonds and thus confirming a molecular shape. When there are no lone pairs on the central atom, the electron geometry and molecular geometry is similar. However, when there are lone pairs involved, the electrons occupy more space than bonding electrons and causes a bend in the shape of the molecule. This results in a different shape for the molecular geometry compared to the electron geometry.

Electron Geometry is what the shape is considering all the regions of e- density including lone pairs and connected atoms to the center element.
Molecular geometry is the shape considering only the connected atoms but while still using the electron repulsion of the lone pairs.
