Final Exam

Postby KarlaArevalo2F » Sun Nov 25, 2018 7:25 pm

Will the final be cumulative or just from midterm to the end?

I don't think Dr. Lavelle has stated what the final exam format will be yet and I haven't seen anything on the website either

The final exam will most likely be cumulative, covering every topic we have gone over in Chemistry 14A.

It's going to be cumulative with 8 questions but each question will have many parts to it like (a) (b) (c)

Pretty sure it'll be cumulative, but with more questions on recently learned topics.

I asked a few students that have taken the class before and they said that is cumulative, but there won't be so many questions on the first few weeks material. For studying, I would suggest focusing mostly on the material after the midterm, but definitely do practice questions/ review all weeks material!

The final will be cumulative, focusing on the latter half of the material we covered after the midterm and it will also include pre-midterm concepts, but not focused heavy on those topics.

Based off previous finals, its cumulative. Even if Dr. Lavelle does not isolate a concept such as balancing equations, he may give us something where we have to balance the equation as a key step in another related problem. Basically blending concepts.

It is cumulative and in lecture, Professor Lavelle said that each unit will be equally on the final! It is only 8 questions so basically 1 or 2 questions per concept.

The final will be cumulative with no topics in particular weighing more than any other.

Is he going to emphasize the material after the midterm more or will it be more equal?

I am assuming it is cumulative since he is basing it off of the syllabus.

Based off past final exams, the final exam will be a cumulative. Think of it as the midterm but on steroids with the stuff that we just learned.

He has said in class that everything on all of the outlines is equally likely to show up on the final.
