VSEPR Model
Just for clarifiction, when we're asked to use "the VSEPR Model" what does that refer to? Drawing the VSEPR structure? Or determining the AXE formula? Or other?

Re: VSEPR Model
Dr. Lavelle said that he wouldn't make us draw the VSEPR model, so it probably means just to determine the AXE formula and name the shapes, and he may ask for the bond angles as well.

Re: VSEPR Model
When he says use the VSPER Model his is saying to refer to it when answering the question. So you should take in consideration the formula, shape (lone pairs), and bond angles.

Re: VSEPR Model
Just refer to the model when answering the question. VSEPR model is just the formula and shape and angles. We should not need to know how to draw it out.

Re: VSEPR Model
when using the VSEPR model, you can essentially use the lewis structure to see how many lone and bonding pair electrons there are around the central atom to determine the AXE formula. From there you can describe shape, bond angles, polarity etc.
