Re: Square Planar
If you think of the structure of the square planar molecule, the lone pairs lie 180 degrees apart at the bottom and top of the structure and the four bonded atoms are in the equatorial plane in the form of a square. Generally a lone pair will distort the angles between the bonded atoms, however because a square planar has two lone pairs on each side of the equatorial plane, the distortions sort of cancel each other, resulting in just 90 degrees between the bonded atoms.

Re: Square Planar
Yes the angles would just be 90 due it having the vsepr formula AX4E2 and the molecular arrangement with the electrons opposite from each other, and therefore somewhat cancelling the repulsion related by the other.

Re: Square Planar
The angles are just 90 degrees on the equatorial plane since repulsion from the lone pairs cancel out.
Re: Square Planar
Because the lone pairs are on exactly opposite sides of the molecule, the repulsion from the lone pairs has a net strength of zero (they "cancel out") and so the bond angles will be 90 degrees.
Re: Square Planar
All the bond angles are equal to 90 the bond shape of two lone pairs and four bonds cancel out.

Re: Square Planar
Although there are line pros present in the regions of electron density, the angles will still be at 90°. This is because the positions of the lone pairs are on opposite sides to keep the molecule balanced, thus the lone pairs cancel out.

Re: Square Planar
All the angles in a square planar molecule are 90 degrees. You can easily remember this by recalling that a 2-d square is made up of 90 degree angles.
Re: Square Planar
Bc the molecular shape of a square planer is octahedral with 90 degree angles then I believe thats why it should as well be 90 degrees

Re: Square Planar
The two lone pairs balance each other out on top and bottom, and the four bonds make a plus shape on one plane, each exactly 90 degrees apart.

They are equal to 90.
