There isn't really a difference. Both terms can be used to describe the the molecular shape of AX₂E or AX₂E₂.

They are the same but for exams, I would use bent for 2 bonds and one lone pair and angular for when it is 1 bond and 3 lone pairs.

As everyone else has said, they are synonyms. But, the book says angular and that seems to be the more technical term.
